BACK Our Story

1962

In 1962, Stuart Marcus embarked on a journey that would shape the future of Kitfix Hobbies Limited. Starting out he would call in on his first customers with samples strapped to the back of his Lambretta scooter. Beginning as a small-scale toys and games wholesale business in East London, the company quickly outgrew its modest premises. In 1968, Stuart’s ambition led to a pivotal moment with the acquisition of a 4-acre site in Swaffham, Norfolk.

Sequin Art craft sets, invented in the 1960’s by two American ladies and later acquired by us in 1987, became our primary focus. Today, we export these unique craft products across Europe and worldwide. Our portfolio expanded to include 3D Sequin Art and Diamond Art, as well as the Painting by Numbers and Artfoil ranges.
